About
My name is Tim Owen. I’m a retired headmaster based in Wiltshire.
I have worked in primary and secondary schools since 1979.
Posts have included Deputy Head of Bristol Grammar Lower School, and Head Teacher at schools in Cheltenham, St Albans and Devizes. I was also an ISI School Inspector.
In 2015, I decided to return to classroom teaching, as a Year 5 teacher and Head of Maths, at a local school.
Over the last ten years, I have privately tutored a number of children. As the demand for one-to-one learning has increased, I have taken the decision to become a full-time tutor.
I have always been passionate about trying to help each child to achieve their best, whether this might be to understand fractions or gaining a Grammar School place.
I believe learning should be fun and interesting, as well as challenging.
I can tutor your child in their own home, distance permitting, or online.
